I’ll let you read the description of the talk itself (which does look quite interesting), but I love the speaker’s bio: Charlie Bamforth, Ph.D., D.Sc. is Chair of the Department of Food Science & Technology and Anheuser-Busch Endowed Professor of Malting & Brewing Sciences at the University of California, Davis.
There are lots of “students” of “malting & brewing sciences” on college campuses today, so I’m guessing Dr. Bamforth is a pretty popular professor on campus.

I respectfully suggest that we make this a group outing at work. You know, for “team building.”
For a complete experience, however, we ought to plan an extra 1.5 hours after to experience the fruits of the ancient liquid bioscience first hand.
